The Administrative Assistant, as part of the healthcare team, will provide reception and administrative support for the Perioperative Centre (the Unit) and related services administered from the Unit.
The Team:
The Pre-Operative Assessment Unit (POAU) is part of the LGH. The unit plans and organises patients for elective surgery. The team is multidisciplinary and is part of Peri-Operative Services (which includes Admissions and Elective Surgery Access).
The Role:
The POAU administrative assistant is an integral role in the pre-op management of patient care. The administrative Assistants greets patients in the clinic, prepares files, and uses the patient administration systems (iPM) to facilitate a positive and streamlined experience.
You will need:
* Clinic hours for clerical staff are from 8am to 4:06pm. This role is 5 shifts per fortnight; however, some negotiation of hours may be considered. There is also an opportunity to increase hours temporarily at times for the successful applicant.
* This role in answerable to the ANUM and NUM and is also responsible for general clerical duties required by the RN and multidisciplinary team.
* The successful applicant will work closely with the Admissions and Elective Surgery Access nurses as well, and the POAU staff.

Details of appointment:
* Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing 1 April 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:$66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
