About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to the creation of innovative menus that reflect the Northern Territory’s unique food culture.
Key Skills & Experience:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of stock control, food safety procedures, and kitchen administration.
Leadership experience and a passion for mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Preparing and cooking high-quality meals across all sections of the kitchen
Maintaining food consistency, presentation, and safety standards
Assisting with stock control, prep lists, and service flow

Previous cooking experience in a busy pub, bistro, or restaurant
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, organised, and able to handle pressure during peak times
A positive attitude and pride in delivering great food
