About the role:
At ASTERIA, the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program is designed to provide compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic care to young people facing high and complex needs often with disabilities.
As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our Residential Services. You will provide personalised care and emotional support to children and young people referred through the Child Protection system.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the below and or working towards:
* The preferred qualification is Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, alternatively provide evidence of enrolment.
Or hold other relevant qualification e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services or AOD. Completed enrollment or willing to enroll, in the four mandatory units of competency for residential care.
* A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
* Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

You must have a:
* Valid and current Driver's Licence.
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (covered by ASTERIA).
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
