Inpex is seeking an Operations Projects Principal Quality Advisor to join their team on an initial 6‐month contract, with the opportunity to extend. The role will be based in Perth, with periodic site travel as required.
About the role
The Operations Project Principal Quality Advisor will provide leadership and oversight of quality management activities across Inpex portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements, and supporting the delivery of a safe and high-quality asset.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide senior quality advice and leadership to the project team
* Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, project specifications, and contractual requirements
* Facilitate audits, inspections, and quality reviews (internal and external)
* Support vendor and contractor quality surveillance activities
* Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and records
* Lead non-conformance management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Interface with clients, regulators, and third-party inspectors as required
* Mentor and support project quality personnel
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree, diploma or experience in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline
* Experience in Quality roles on major projects
* Demonstrated experience in senior or principal‐level quality positions
* Strong understanding of construction, fabrication, and commissioning quality requirements
* Experience in resources, energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors
* High level of communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capability
* Experience across both site and office‐based project phases
* Strong background in contractor and supplier quality management
* Previous experience working directly with clients and regulators
