Full Time Painter Required – South Eastern Suburbs
Sub-Contractor position
Preferred Painting Contractors is seeking a qualified and experienced painter to join our growing team. This is a sub-contractor position with steady, long-term work available for the right person.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ painting experience
- Current driver’s license
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and supervise small teams
- Capable of following instructions and ensuring work meets inspection standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out painting and surface preparation to a high standard
- Apply protective and decorative coatings to various surfaces, both interior and exterior
- Adhere to OHS standards and workplace safety requirements
- Prepare surfaces through washing, scraping, sanding, and smoothing
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Install, repair, and maintain internal surfaces, including ceilings and walls
- Safely erect and use ladders and platforms
- Identify, handle, and dispose of paints and materials correctly
Work Details:
- Projects are primarily in the industrial and commercial sectors
- Work is based in the South Eastern suburbs and across metropolitan Melbourne
- Occasional travel to regional Victoria may be required
Essential Licenses & Tickets:
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- EWP Yellow Card (Elevated Work Platform)
- Working at Heights (WAH) Ticket
- Current Driver’s License
- Solid understanding of WHS practices
Desirable:
- First Aid Certificate
- High Risk Work License
