What we are looking for:
We're seeking a motivated and detail-focused Records Officer to join our high-performing professional Records team. You'll play a critical role in delivering a confidential accurate and efficient document management service across Council.
You'll be someone who takes initiative and works efficiently to complete your daily workload with accuracy and attention to detail. You'll thrive in a busy environment where priorities can shift and be motivated to take on project work once your core tasks are complete. Your proactive approach and drive for continuous improvement will help support the team's ongoing success.
What your day will look like:
* Accurately entering, maintaining and validating data in Council's corporate systems
* Processing financial transactions including receipting and setting up direct debit applications
* Ensuring compliance with the Public Records Act 2023 and Council's information management policies
* Supporting and educating internal customers in the effective use of Council's EDRMS
* Managing and distributing incoming mail including external mail runs
* Coordinating outgoing mail through Australia Post for Council departments
* Assisting with project-based scanning and digitisation of historical records
