Senior Biometrics / Identity Test Analyst
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: Initial contract to June 2027 + extension options

We are seeking experienced Senior Test Analysts to support complex enterprise ICT systems within a secure and fast-paced delivery environment.

About the Role
As a Senior Biometrics / Identity Test Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing testing activities across complex ICT systems and services.
You will work closely with project teams, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure systems are thoroughly tested, defects are managed effectively, and quality outcomes are delivered across both project and BAU initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in Sprint planning and testing activities across project and BAU streams
* Review requirements and specifications to define test conditions and testing strategies
* Develop and execute complex test cases and technical test scripts
* Record, analyse, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle
* Support test data preparation and testing environment requirements
* Investigate and resolve complex testing issues
* Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support delivery outcomes
* Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within testing teams
* Mentor team members and assist with test-related guidance where required
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* 4+ years' experience as a Test Analyst or Software Tester
* Experience testing enterprise ICT systems, including identity or biometrics-related platforms
* Strong experience creating detailed test cases and complex test data
* Experience with technical back-end testing
* Knowledge and practical application of ISTQB methodologies
* Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments
* Exposure to testing tools and technologies including SOAP, SQL, and XML
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced delivery teams
Desirable Experience
* Experience leading or mentoring small testing teams
* Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments
Working Environment
This Canberra-based role offers hybrid working arrangements following an initial onboarding period. Candidates will be required onsite during onboarding and regularly throughout the engagement.
Clearance Requirements
Candidates must hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
