Bicycle Education Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic bicycle education assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in providing safe riding practices for transport and fun, connecting with a range of participants from children to adults, and inspiring more people to ride a bicycle. The role requires the ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and have a love for riding bicycles.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering high-quality training packages that meet our curriculum standards
* Supporting Instructors who teach safe riding practices for transport and fun
* Help instructing participants from children to adults
* Assist in the preparation, loading, transport, delivery and pick-up of bicycles and equipment
* Help to organize and maintain the workshop space
* Provide support to workshop instructors and participants as needed
* Assist in the setup and breakdown of workshops and events
* Help to ensure that all workshop activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures
* Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications:
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Working with Children Clearance.
* AusCycling Community Skills Instructor certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid driver's license.
Working Hours: casual, Part-time (2 to 3 days per week)
Location: predominantly within Perth Metropolitan area, with occasional travel in regional areas in WA. Our workshop is located in O'Connor (near Hilton shops)
Duration: Ongoing casual employment
Salary range is per hour, including casual loading but plus Super
