UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated **Financial Analyst** to join our team at **UON in the Malaga office.**
**About the Role**:
This role will play a critical role in the Finance function and work closely with the CFO, supporting the short term and long-term strategic objectives of the business by developing and monitoring budgets, forecast and investment decision evaluations.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:
- Own and develop the financial model to support various business functions, including forecasting, financial planning and analysis.
- Work with the business units and shared services stakeholders to develop financial analysis and baseline data for the budgets
- Prepare monthly forecasts based on trend analysis and discuss with business management
- Identify and explain variances between forecast and actual results, using this information to minimise future forecast variances.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, variances and KPIS to identify improvement areas and revenue opportunities.
- Assist with preparation of analysis for Board reports
- Manage the weekly cash flow forecasting process and forecast short term liquidity requirements.
- Quarterly calculation of financial covenants alongside the supporting bank reporting for the information pack to the financiers
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting for shareholders
- Provide robust financial modelling to support business cases, tenders and new initiatives within the departments.
- Work with business units in the preparation of capital expenditure approval requests.
- Work with C-suite stakeholders to drive a variety of business improvement projects.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required
**Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Accounting, Finance or Information Systems or similar)
- A professional qualification, (CFA, CA, CPA or MBA) or working towards qualification (desirable)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with large datasets, What-If Analysis tools, Pivot Tables, Macros.
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role as a Business/Financial Analyst demonstrating expertise in financial modelling and analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analytics including sales reporting (margin analysis focus) and budgeting.
