The Opportunity
The Newstead Residences is a luxury retirement living community located in the heart of Newstead, Brisbane. In this new hybrid role of Concierge and Food & Beverage Attendant, you will enjoy being the first point of contact for residents, family members and visitors entering our building and providing them with helpful service. In addition, you will assist our restaurant team with front-of-house Food & Beverage shifts as required. This is a perfect opportunity for someone from a hospitality or customer service background to join the team!
This is a casual position assisting our team with coverage as needed. Tuesday availability is essential, Wednesday-Saturday availability is highly regarded. Apply today and let us know your availability.
What we offer
* $34.97/hr (Concierge) and $34.57/hr (F&B) including 25% casual loading + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
* No late nights or early morning starts. Weekend penalty rates if you work Saturday or Sunday.

You will
* Provide ground-floor Concierge services to all residents and guests and ensure their requests are handled in a welcoming manner
* Completing general administrative tasks such as phone and email correspondence, organising bookings, and distributing mail.
* Assisting residents with troubleshooting issues or enquiries such as transportation, porterage and helping them settle into the community
* Work in our in-house restaurant during lunch or dinner service to ensure gold-standard hospitality service
* Observe workplace health and safety and safe food handling procedures.
* Deliver thorough service to residents by attending to resident requests and community emergencies
What you will bring:
* Previous hospitality or customer service experience (e.g Hotel Concierge, Wait staff, Food & Beverage staff or administration)
* Availability on Tuesday (essential) and Wednesday-Saturday (highly desired)
* Compassionate, empathetic, and kind attitude toward residents, colleagues, and visitors.
* Valid drivers license (highly desired)
* Current Police Check certificate (required however we can complete for you if you do not possess)
