About the position
The Seymour Health Graduate Enrolled Nurse program aims to provide a safe and supportive environment which facilitates the transition from a new graduate to a confident and competent enrolled nurse.
There are TWO positions available for the program which will commence in February 2026. Each graduate will complete rotations through the Acute ward and Aged Care Facility, as well as an elective rotation.
Support will be provided by clinical area preceptors and a clinical educator. There will also be many learning and development opportunities including:
* A minimum of five study days which focus on the needs of the group. Examples of previous topics have included: the deteriorating patient, wound care, basic ECG interpretation, catheterisation
• Dedicated supernumerary days for each rotation, with extra time for specialty areas
* Other professional development opportunities as they arise
* Regular debriefs with other Graduate nurses and the Clinical Educator
* Access to feedback from the Graduate Nurse Coordinator and the clinical areas you rotate through
Graduate Enrolled nurses will be employed on a one-year fixed term contract, with the potential for ongoing employment at the conclusion based on availability at that time. We endeavor to secure work in your preferred area and ensure ongoing education opportunities are made available to you.

We are a 30-bed public facility which provides public and private acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedure along with post-acute care, palliative care, district nursing and sub-acute ambulatory services.
