About the Job
Our client is seeking a skilled facilities management professional to provide high-quality services to our data centres. Your primary goal will be to maintain business continuity and minimize unplanned downtime by adhering to operating procedures and protocols, proactively identifying risks, and communicating solutions to management.
The role involves maintaining power and air-conditioning in critical computer rooms, managing facilities strategy, and ensuring 24/7 utility continuity, including electricity, gas, air-conditioning, heating, water, sewerage, drainage, cleaning, and waste management.
You will assist with shift coverage at alternate locations as needed, respond to emergencies by switching to backup plant services, following operating procedures, and ensuring safety and proper equipment isolation. You will also participate in developing and reviewing site operating procedures.
You will work on shift rosters and overtime to support 24/7 operations. You will report to the designated Data Centre Manager, with support from the Account Director and DCM available during day shifts (Monday to Friday) and as needed for 24/7 operations.
Role Responsibilities
* Support facilities management strategy and oversee service delivery, including maintenance, fire, mechanical, and electrical support, following safety guidelines.
* Manage site operations to ensure minimal disruption to client operations.
* Perform operational hours, shift work, permit management, and site inspections.
* Report and recommend technical and operational improvements, conduct risk assessments.
* Model CBRE culture, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and maintain site relations.
* Perform routine maintenance, update incident logs, operate emergency systems, and manage change processes.
* Ensure continuous operation of critical systems, manage contractor compliance, and generate SOPs.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical, preferably A Grade Electrician, Certificate III in Electrical/Airconditioning & Refrigeration.
* 3-5 years' experience in Data Centre or Critical Infrastructure environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
* Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, or engineering disciplines.
* Client relationship experience and knowledge of facility management or corporate real estate.
