Eddystone Primary School is located in the suburb of Heathridge, approximately 27km north of Perth City. Role
As a Deputy Principal, you will apply your professional knowledge and understanding to lead high quality teaching and learning, drawing on the Quality Teaching Strategy to support our future business plan goals by improving student outcomes through high quality teaching practices. This role includes a teaching component.
Responsibilities
* Lead high quality teaching and learning across the school.
* Support business plan goals by improving student outcomes through best practice teaching.
* Mentor and develop middle leaders and support graduate teachers, experienced teachers and education assistants through a strong performance and development culture.
* Develop and implement a whole‐school instructional coaching framework.
* Lead analysis of teaching impact through routine data analysis.
* Work collaboratively with the community and executive leadership team to implement best practice using the Teaching for Impact suite of resources.
Qualifications and Experience
A successful applicant should have:
* Experience in developing middle leaders and supporting graduate teachers, experienced teachers and education assistants.
* Experience in developing a whole‐school instructional coaching framework and leading routine data analysis.
* Comprehensive understanding of contemporary curriculum and pedagogy across a K-6 setting.
* A proven track record of improving student outcomes and effectively supporting staff in implementing best practice teaching and learning programs.
Eligibility
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with relevant work rights.
* Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
* Valid Working With Children Check.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
