Effective maintenance of prime movers, tankers and trailers is crucial to the success of any logistics company.
The Role
* 1. Heavy Diesel Mechanics will operate from remote locations or FIFO ex Perth with 2 weeks on and 1 week off rosters. They will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles, including servicing and repairing engine components, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, as well as vehicle lighting systems.
2. Maintenance tasks will also include diagnosis and repair of driveline components. Mechanics must possess strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex faults using diagrams and flowcharts.
3. All work completed on mobile assets must be accurately recorded by the Heavy Diesel Mechanic in accordance with standard operating procedures. This information should provide valuable insights into equipment performance patterns over time.
