About the opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community, especially those who have helped establish the region as a beautiful place to live and work. This role will be responsible for providing the day-to-day intake and assessment service functions for Gippsland Region of Wellways.
Some key aspects of the role will be supporting referrals to services for those identified as 'hard to reach' and screening for eligibility for NDIS programs. You will undertake an initial needs assessment for people eligible for a community mental health service. Strengthen partnerships and build better links between various clinical and community support organisations responsible for delivering mental health services.
Facilitating group activities around capacity building. Promoting a community-based recovery model to deliver community-based support services to people experiencing severe and persistent mental illness with complex needs.
To be successful in this role
1. Minimum Diploma and/or relevant experience in Mental Health or other related discipline
2. Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
3. Current Working with Children Check
4. Right to Work within Australia
5. NDIS Module
6. Satisfactory National Police Records Check
7. Evidence of COVID vaccination with booster or valid medical exemption
