Volunteer Community Reporter
This is a unique opportunity to capture the stories and spirit of our volunteer community. As a Volunteer Community Reporter, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that showcases the impact and achievements of our volunteers.
About the Role:
* Develop and write articles, features, and other content that highlights the work of our volunteers and the positive impact they have on our community.
* Work closely with our staff and stakeholders to gather information and insights that can be used to inform and inspire your writing.
* Take photographs and create other visual content that brings the stories of our volunteers to life.
* Design and compile a weekly newsletter using Mailchimp, ensuring it is visually appealing and easy to read.
* Publish and share the finished newsletter, keeping our volunteers and staff connected and informed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with design principles and best practices for creating visually appealing content.
* Experience with social media platforms and online publishing tools.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
