Join Stockland at a pivotal time as a Senior Cost Planner – Apartments, where you'll play a hands‐on role shaping some of our most significant residential developments across Australia. With a strong focus on apartments and multi‐residential projects, this role also offers the breadth to support other asset classes, including industrial, as part of a highly collaborative national Cost Planning function.
Senior Cost Planner who thrives in a diversified development environment and enjoys working shoulder to shoulder with project and development teams to provide confident, commercial cost advice from early feasibility through to pretender.
What You'll Do
* Lead hands‐on cost planning for apartment and mixed use developments across multiple project stages
* Partner closely with Project Managers, Development Managers and Design Managers as a trusted cost advisor
* Prepare and present detailed elemental and trade cost plans, including explaining assumptions, risks and movements with confidence
* Monitor market conditions, escalation rates and construction pricing across multiple states
* Attend PCG meetings and contribute clear, commercially grounded cost insights
* Manage and influence external Quantity Surveyors, consultants, suppliers and contractors
* Identify value opportunities and manage cost and risk while protecting quality and brand standards
* Support portfolio knowledge sharing and, where required, contribute to projects outside the apartments space including industrial
About You
You're a hands on cost planner who enjoys being in the detail while still seeing the bigger picture. You build trust quickly with stakeholders, communicate clearly at all levels and stay calm under pressure in fastmoving development environments.
Experience & Skills That Count
* Demonstrated experience delivering cost planning across complex development or built form sectors or similar
* Strong experience across apartments or multi residential projects (Tier 1 or Tier 2 development environment)
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with project teams within PM led delivery models
* Confident presenting cost plans and cost movements to senior stakeholders and forums
* Experience managing external Quantity Surveyors and consultant teams
* Strong understanding of escalation, market conditions and construction pricing across states
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Property Economics, Engineering or similar
