Part-Time Assistant Accountant - Maternity Cover with opportunity to go permanent, Alexandria, 80K pro rata Your new company A leading kitchen manufacturer known for their innovation and people-first culture are seeking a Part-Time Junior / Assistant Accountant to join their finance team for maternity cover (with the potential to become permanent). Reporting directly to the Finance Manager (with a dotted line to the CFO), you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a strong foundation in finance while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. Your new role Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and customer account reconciliations Accounts Payable (AP): Process supplier invoices, manage payment runs, and maintain vendor records Support month-end processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies Collaborate with the finance team to support reporting and analysis needs What you'll need to succeed Experience as an Assistant Accounting, with strong AR & AP experience. A strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP are ideal.
