About this role
Mobile Speed Camera Operators are required to operate enforcement vehicles and work closely with the control room team to monitor traffic and enforce road safety laws. Operators must be able to work alone for long shifts, often in remote areas, and adhere to strict safety and procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities
* Fully adhere to all road rules and demonstrate safe driving behaviour at all times
* Perform a risk assessment of the site before each enforcement session and report sites that are unusable, taking photos when required
* Coordinate with the control room for camera set up and testing before session commencement
* Remain alert and attentive during an enforcement session, and maintain regular communications with the control room throughout the shift
* Adhere to standard operating procedures in responding to angry or aggressive behaviour
* Perform pre‐ and post‐shift vehicle inspections
Pay Rates
* Trainee Casual Mobile Speed Camera Operators are paid $35.15 an hour for ordinary hours, inclusive of 25% loading.
* The penalty rates are $40.77 an hour for night shifts, $40.77 an hour on Saturdays, $49.21 an hour on Sundays, and $42.18 – $56.24 an hour for overtime (Rates include Casual Loading).
* Your ordinary hourly rate will increase to the operator rate of $38.35 an hour once you pass the competency assessment (from the 3–6 months anniversary of employment).
Qualifications
* Full NSW driver's licence and a clean driving record
* Comfortable being seated in a vehicle for extended periods
* Able to work alone for each shift (10–12 hours), drive long distances or to multiple locations in regional and remote areas
* Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster that includes weekdays, nights and weekends
