EGM Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Bridgestone Australia, one of the world's most recognised automotive brands, to recruit an Automotive Category Manager for their Retail Operations team.
This is a senior, business-critical role responsible for shaping and scaling Bridgestone's national automotive and mechanical servicing offering across its retail store network, with direct alignment to long-term retail strategy, customer experience and innovation.
Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager of Retail Operations, the Automotive Category Manager will own the end-to-end automotive servicing category. You'll lead service portfolio strategy, drive new product and service rollouts, influence pricing and supplier performance, and partner closely with internal teams and the Lube Mobile Auto Service business to ensure consistency and growth across all touchpoints.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, commercial performance and future mobility trends, making it ideal for a commercially minded automotive leader looking to make a national impact.
Key responsibilities
* Own and evolve the automotive & mechanical servicing category across the retail network
* Identify and introduce new services, technologies and growth opportunities (EV, 4x4, ADAS, digital servicing)
* Lead national rollouts of new services, ensuring operational readiness across tooling, systems and processes
* Partner with Retail, IT, Marketing, Digital and Operations teams on key strategic initiatives
* Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships in collaboration with Procurement
* Set pricing frameworks, margins, quoting processes and discount structures
* Track category performance across revenue, profitability and customer retention
* Champion customer experience innovation and future service models
* Support training programs for franchisees, store managers and workshop teams
* Contribute to safety, sustainability and Bridgestone's E8 Commitment
About you
* Strong automotive industry background with servicing and repair knowledge
* Experience in category management, product/service development or automotive operations
* Commercially astute with pricing, margin and supplier negotiation experience
* Confident influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
* Strategic thinker with a practical, execution-focused mindset
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
