About the Business
Our Disability and Specialised Services Division provides valuable support to the South Australian community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work. As a registered NDIS provider, they provide SIL services that supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. The Division also encompasses quality and clinical services and the DHS Equipment Program.
Role Details
Disability and Specialised Services delivers direct supports, inclusion policy and service reform to improve outcomes for South Australians with disability and those ageing with complex support needs. Our services support people living in Supported Independent Living (SIL), aged care, and other community-based and residential settings. Workforce capability and high-quality training are central to ensuring safe, rights-based and person-centred supports. The Training function works closely with operational services to design, deliver and continuously improve training that meets legislative requirements, quality standards and the evolving needs of the workforce.
The Training Manager is a role within Disability Services, Quality & Service Operations and is accountable to the Quality Manager, working closely with the Manager, Workforce Development, Training and Education, to lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of training and development across Disability and Specialised Services.
The role is responsible for:
• leading the design, delivery and evaluation of workforce training programs to ensure staff are equipped to provide safe, high-quality and person-centred supports
• developing and maintaining the Disability Services training calendar, curriculum and resources to meet legislative, quality and operational requirements
• providing leadership, supervision and performance management to staff to support effective service delivery
• building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support workforce capability and continuous improvement
• contributing to strategic initiatives and quality improvement activities that enhance outcomes for people with disability and older South Australians.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Essential Qualifications
Incumbent must hold a Workplace Training and Assessor Qualification (Certificate IV Training and Assessment) as required by the Australian Qualification Training Framework Standards and a Certificate III Individual Support (Disability).

Screening Checks
