CPC Engineering has over 50 years' experience in the Mining Sector and is 100% Western Australian owned.We are currently seeking a versatile Communications Technician to support a dual-scope role across oil and gas projects and a long-term Land Mobile Radio (LMR) contract servicing the Pilbara & Kimberley regions of Western Australia.Key Responsibilities:Oil & Gas Projects:Install and maintain communication systems such as WLAN, LAN, fibre optics, CCTV, SCADA, telemetry, and critical infrastructure.Provide field support to industrial sites, ensuring high system reliability and uptime.LMR Radio:Deliver radio communications services including installation, maintenance, inspection, reconfiguration, repair, and testing of VHF/UHF equipment.Work with fixed, mobile, portable land and marine radios, communication towers, and supporting infrastructure.Ensure services meet operational standards to support emergency personnel.To be considered for this role:Tertiary qualification in telecommunications, electronics, or radio communications.ACMA Open Cablers Registration with endorsements.Understanding of and experience with radio frequency technologies and communications equipment.Strong experience in telecom systems and copper/fibre optic structured cabling.Knowledge of DC power systems.Construction White Card.First Aid, CPR & LVR certifications.Working at heights certification.High Risk Work License (EWP).WA Restricted Electrical Licence (Desirable).WA Security Installers Licence (Desirable).Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (Desirable).T-BOSIET (Desirable).Gas Test Atmospheres (Desirable).Previous mining/resources project experience.Ability to pass pre-employment medical screening.Ability to work autonomously.
