The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and influential Director to continue to advance the growth of our Victorian business in the infrastructure and major projects markets. This is a pivotal leadership role for an established professional who excels at both business development and the hands‑on leadership of client matters and staff.
You will be responsible for cultivating key client relationships, securing new work, and leading a team of talented consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes on complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Drive the growth of the service line by proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and increasing our market share in the infrastructure consultancy sector.
* Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to our clients, building and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and end‑users.
* Project Delivery Excellence: Oversee a significant portfolio of projects, ensuring MBB Group’s services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of consultants. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Market Ambassadorship: Be a visible leader in the market, promoting the MBB Group brand, contributing to proposals, and enhancing our reputation as the consultant of choice.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are a seasoned leader with a proven track record and network in the infrastructure market. You are as passionate about developing business and building a team as you are about working on complex projects.
To be successful, you will have
* 15+ years of experience working on major projects.
* Understand commercial and legal frameworks associated with major projects as well as procurement, transaction management and contract management.
* A demonstrable track record in business development, client relationship management, and winning work in a competitive environment.
* Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse, and high-performing teams.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Finance, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
* The strategic agility to anticipate market changes and the operational excellence to deliver on promises.
