Payroll Manager - Lead our Trans-Tasman Payroll Operations

The Role:
Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will ensure every employee is paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with all legislation. You will manage end-to-end payroll services while leading a team of 2 payroll officers and driving continuous improvement across our systems and processes.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee fortnightly payroll processing across AU/NZ operations
Ensure compliance with Modern Awards, Fair Work Act, Holidays Act 2003 (NZ), and statutory requirements
Manage UKG/Kronos T&A and Affinity payroll systems
Process complex calculations including terminations, LSL, and ETP payments
Prepare payroll reconciliations, journals, and statutory lodgements
Lead and develop your payroll team while acting as subject matter expert
Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years managing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand
Strong knowledge of trans-Tasman payroll legislation and compliance
Essential experience with Affinity Payroll and UKG/Kronos systems
Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
Multi-site retail or fast-paced operational environment experience
