Heavy Engine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Engine Technician to join our client in Fairfield. This role focusses on the servicing, overhaul, and reconditioning of large industrial 4-stroke diesel engines and associated equipment. It's ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in heavy diesel or industrial engine work.
Your new role
* Overhaul and recondition large diesel engines and sub-assemblies
* Clean, paint, and maintain engine components and workshop areas
* Collaborate with Technical Support Engineer and Leading Hand
* Complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation accurately
* Comply with manufacturer and company service standards
* Participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings
* Maintain technical knowledge and assist in training junior staff
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering Fitting
* Hands-on experience in industrial engine servicing
* Safety-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Basic computer literacy for reporting and communication
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Forklift Licence a plus)
