The Role
The fixed term position will see you play a central role in the planning and delivering of high-quality teaching and learning experiences for School of Education Initial Teacher Education students and contributing to the scholarly and research efforts of the School.
You will design and deliver engaging learning across face-to-face, hybrid, and online modes, prepare and assess subjects, maintain accurate student records, and provide timely, constructive feedback. You will contribute to curriculum development, strengthen program offerings, and support accreditation processes, while also participating in student engagement activities and School and University committees. Additional responsibilities include coordinating subjects where required, supporting sessional staff, and maintaining assessment documentation.
More broadly, you will maintain contemporary knowledge in inclusive education, engage in ongoing professional learning, and foster strong, collegial relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners.
About You
You are a motivated early-career academic who is passionate about English Literacy Education and ready to contribute to high-quality learning and teaching and contribute to scholarly activity across the School
You will demonstrate:
* A completed or submitted doctoral qualification in Education, with expertise in English Literacy curriculum across K–12 settings.
* Eligibility for relevant professional registration/accreditation.
* Experience delivering innovative and high-quality tertiary teaching, with strengths in curriculum design, assessment, and e-learning.
* Demonstrated engagement with industry or community partners.
* Strong understanding of best-practice pedagogy and educational technologies.
* Emerging research capability, evidenced through scholarly outputs.
* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A – $112,718 to $136,180p.a. (comprising base salary of $95,248 to $115,074 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading)
