About the Role
We’re seeking to employ an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Design Drafter to join our Engineering Services team in Kwinana, WA on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete EI&C; design deliverables to an appropriate professional standard meeting applicable regulatory requirements and engineering standards
- Ensuring that EI&C; asset drawings are up-to-date and maintained to an appropriate qualified standard
- Undertake and assist as appropriate in technical and feasibility studies, designs, calculations, and analysis
- Actively contribute to EI&C; design and document reviews
- Collaborate and contribute to the maintenance and development of EI&C; standards, specifications, and procedures
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- A formally recognised qualification in electrical technology, engineering or design or an electrical and instrument trade qualification
- At least 3 years relevant design experience
- Excellent computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in the use of computer aided design tools, in particular AutoCAD and PowerCAD. A proficiency in EPLAN is highly desirable, but not essential
- A strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, electrical single line drawings, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and P&IDs;
- A working knowledge of the design, selection and installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas per the requirements of AS/NZS 60079
