Job Overview
This role is a critical safeguarding position that focuses on leading comprehensive investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and allegations to protect vulnerable individuals and enhance care standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough analyses into abuse, neglect, restrictive practices, and workplace health and safety matters.
* Analyse evidence with precision, empathy, and procedural fairness.
* Engage with regulatory bodies such as the NDIS Commission, Child Protection, Ombudsman, and WorkSafe.
* Deliver clear, trauma-informed reports and outcome letters to drive corrective action.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and embedding safer practices across services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent (desired)
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, child protection, or related fields
* Experience in investigations within OOHC, disability, or health sectors
* Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
* A commitment to safeguarding, quality, and professional growth
