As our customer base continues to grow across Australia, Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role involves servicing and maintaining a diverse range of cranes, including Crawler Cranes, drilling and piling equipment, with occasional work on harbour mobile and gantry cranes.
This hands-on role primarily covers Perth and Northern WA, with travel throughout Australia as needed. We're looking for a proactive and driven individual who is passionate about promoting the Liebherr brand, committed to delivering best-in-class service, and eager to travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Major and minor service
* Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems
* Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components
* Routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements
* Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
* Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
* Adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
About you
* Trade qualified in Auto Electrical or Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
* Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
* Capable of working independently in the field, problem solving in various situations.
* Crane industry experience desirable, although not a requirement
* Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
* A current driver's license
