We are looking for a new Safety Advisor to join the team at Tatura. Bring your skills and experience to make a real change!
The Role
Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country's largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.
We are looking for a new Safety Advisor to join us at Tatura! We are looking for someone who has previous experience in safety, as well as strong people skills to build positive relationships with everyone on site and external parties. You will be working with everyone from senior leadership to our operators and be a safety champion every second of everyday.
This role will be based on site five days a week during normal operating hours. Some flexibility given for WFH/remote based on business needs. Relocation assistance available for preferred candidate.
Responsibilities
* Coach and lead Bega's Health & Safety (H&S) policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Identify and mitigate safety risks in the workplace.
* Provide on-going advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring and support to site staff on safety related issues.
* Work closely with line managers to ensure thorough risk assessments are performed and critical risk registers are maintained with critical controls implemented.
* Collate safety data to coach team members on analysing and addressing safety trends
* Positively influence and drive site safety practices and behaviours
About You
* Previous experience in a safety role - FMCG or Food manufacturing desirable
* Certificate IV or diploma in Safety desirable
* Very strong communicator - can engage with people to build strong relationships
* Strong computer and reporting skills
* Self-starter and passionate about safety across the site and its people.
