Roles & Responsibilities
Finance Responsibilities :
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), IFRS, and relevant financial regulations.
Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
Monitor cash flow, financial risks, and cost controls. Ensure compliance with taxation laws, including GST, PAYG, and corporate tax obligations.
Liaise with financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Audit Responsibilities :
Conduct internal audits to assess financial integrity and compliance.
Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
Assist in fraud detection, risk management, and process enhancement initiatives.
Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
Work closely with external auditors during statutory audits and financial reviews.
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CIA, or relevant certification preferred.
1 to 3 years of experience in financial auditing or accounting in Western Australia.
