THE ROLE
Part-time (0.8) fixed term - 12 months commencing in January 2026
Christian College Geelong is seeking a committed and skilled Outdoor Education Assistant to join our Outdoor Education team.
This role supports the planning, coordination and delivery of high-quality Outdoor Education programs that reflect our College's Christian ethos, focus on student growth, and commitment to safety and excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate as a group leader in all field components of the Outdoor Education programme.
Plan and organise key programmes in consultation with the Director, at least one year in advance.
Assist with the preparation, execution and review of programmes in line with risk-management procedures and current professional standards.
WHAT YOU BRING:

A commitment to serving within a Christian school community and supporting the College's values.
Wilderness First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Light rigid licence.
Experience driving with trailers.
Community surf lifesaving certificate or similar water safety qualification.
A current Working with Children Check.
Knowledge of outdoor education practices and safety standards.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to act with integrity, responsibility and professionalism at all times.
Initiative, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to adapt, embrace change and strive for continuous improvement.
Practical knowledge of equipment maintenance and operational procedures.
