Emergency Response Specialist
This role requires working collaboratively with a team to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all employees on site.
* Conduct daily activities in accordance with established health and safety protocols.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation of emergency response procedures.
* Participate in risk assessments as a subject matter expert for emergency planning and response.
* Ensure operational readiness of identified safety and emergency response equipment and vehicles.
* Develop and deliver training programs for operational workgroups on emergency management processes.
* Coordinate and execute external and internal training programs for emergency response team members.
* Act as first responder for incident management, including after-hours on-call responsibilities.
* Build relationships with mutual aid emergency services agencies and personnel.
* Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response procedures to promote high levels of health, safety, and environmental awareness.
* Plan and execute operational emergency exercises.
The successful candidate will have experience in an underground and/or processing mine environment, strong computer literacy skills, and the ability to meet physical demands of the role.
Key qualifications include:
* Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
* Certificate IV Health Care or equivalent
* Current unrestricted "C" Class Western Australian Driver's License
* Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (desirable)
* Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
* HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desirable)
* Current "HR" Class Western Australian Driver Licence (desirable)
Eligibility: Candidates must meet our pre-employment criteria which includes a medical, drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work and a valid Australian national police clearance.
