About the role
The role of Crew Leader Horticulturist Parks and Gardens is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, improvement and construction of Central Coast Council's (CCC's) parks, reserves and roadside landscapes through the application of sound horticultural practices, the effective allocation of staff and resources and the utilisation of best productive methods to provide a cost-effective service to CCC and the Community.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* a Certificate III qualification in Horticulture/ Parks and Gardens or related field.
* a current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* a current Class C Drivers Licence
* experience in the Horticulture/ Parks and Gardens Maintenance industry in a supervisory role
* demonstrated experience with the use of Horticulture/ Parks Maintenance equipment.
* extensive experience in general gardening duties

Other important information
* The commencing salary for this position is up to $70.7k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $81.9k on completion of assessment of skills and performance + a $19.49 weekly working allowance + 12% superannuation
* We have two permanent full-time role available.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* These roles are located at Council's Erina Works Depot.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
