About the role
As a key part of our quality team, you will ensure that all products adhere to quality and safety standards throughout the production process. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborating closely with production teams, you will foster a culture of quality and drive continuous improvement.
What you'll do
* Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance programs and procedures.
* Ensure all quality assurance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
* Conduct regular GMP audits, breakables inspections, and process evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Perform routine product inspections and testing in line with company procedures.
* Identify, document, and address deviations from quality standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Ensure calibrations are performed according to the established schedule.
* Provide training and support to production staff on procedures and best practices.
* Support staff in the implementation of quality improvements.
* Attend and contribute to company HACCP meetings.
* Stay current with industry, customer, and regulatory standards.
* Assist with external onsite audits.
* Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

What We're Looking For
* Degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Quality, or a related field.
* 2-3 years in a quality assurance role
* Familiarity with FSANZ, NSW Food Authority, CFMSR, WQA, Costco, Aldi, and SQF standards.
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Solid understanding of HACCP principles and practices.
* Internal auditor training preferred, but can be provided.
* Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
