The Opportunity
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is seeking a dedicated **Emergency Medicine Registrar or Senior Medical Officer** to join our dynamic Emergency Department team in Sale, Victoria. This role offers the chance to work within a busy regional hospital that provides a comprehensive range of acute and sub-acute services to the Wellington Shire and beyond.

About The Facility
CGH operates across three campuses — **Sale, Maffra and Heyfield** — and delivers:
- Full-time Emergency Department
- Critical Care Unit & Neonatal Critical Care Unit
- Three Operating Theatres & Day Procedure Unit
- Oncology & Dialysis Services
- Sub-acute and Rehabilitation Services
- Residential Aged Care & Community Health Programs
Our Emergency Department Includes
- 2 Resuscitation Bays
- 5 Cubicles
- 2 Treatment Rooms
Supported by highly skilled nursing staff, **Senior Medical Officers**, **FACEMs**, and a strong team of **Junior Medical Officers**.
The Role
As a key member of the Emergency Department, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency medical care
- Lead and mentor junior medical officers and students
- Support the senior management team in prioritising patient care
- Participate in credentialed clinical procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental services
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- General, Provisional or Limited Registration with AHPRA
Desirable
- ACEM Non-Accredited Trainee status
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated experience in emergency medicine
- Experience teaching or supervising junior medical staff and students
- Supportive multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong teaching hospital affiliation with **Monash University’s School of Rural Health**
