This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.44FTE), 33.5 hours per fortnight. About The Role As a Teacher Aide at Goondiwindi State High School, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students to achieve their best in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Include Assisting teachers and students with classroom activities, excursions, and sporting events. Providing clerical support, including preparing teaching materials and maintaining student records. Supporting students with special needs, including assistance with personal care and learning activities. Contributing to the welfare, health, and safety of students, including providing first aid if required. Encouraging student engagement through reading, storytelling, and small group activities. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively as part of a team. Empathy and respect for students, particularly those with high-level needs. Organisational skills to manage resources and maintain accurate records. Adaptability to assist with a variety of tasks, including clerical duties and classroom support. Basic computer skills to support students with literacy and numeracy activities. Interested?
