At the forefront of cellular genomics, we seek a skilled Laboratory Scientist to join our cutting-edge research team.
This role involves overseeing workflows for cellular genomics assays, supporting researchers, and troubleshooting issues promptly. Training will be provided, and ongoing learning for new developments is expected.
The successful candidate will primarily focus on single-cell genomic assays, including cell capture, library prep, QC, sample tracking, troubleshooting, and protocol development. Opportunities exist to collaborate with other researchers and explore laboratory automation.
We offer flexible working hours between 8 am and 6 pm, with occasional adjustments based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform single-cell genomics assays such as scATAC-seq and multiomics
* Library construction and quality checks
* Optimize and implement new platforms and technologies
* Manage all aspects of single-cell RNA sequencing, including troubleshooting and communication with clients
* Maintain detailed records of molecular requirements and techniques
* Use databases and project tracking tools
* Identify and address weaknesses in molecular analysis techniques, adopting best practices
* Report progress and developments regularly
* Train new staff on services, SOPs, safety, and best practices
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
* BSc (Hons) or MSc in a relevant science field, with knowledge of genomics and molecular biology
* At least 1 year of molecular biology lab experience
* Experience with single-cell technology is highly desirable
* Highly organized with excellent communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Creative problem-solving skills
* Initiative and willingness to support team tasks
