Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Linux Migration Engineer
with strong hands-on expertise in system migration, virtualization, and enterprise OS administration. The ideal candidate will have
10+ years of migration experience
, a mature approach to system change, and the ability to support large-scale physical and virtual environments.
This role will be responsible for designing, migrating, and supporting Linux/Windows environments while ensuring system stability, security, and minimal business impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute
OS and platform migration activities
across enterprise environments
* Develop and deploy
Standard Operating Environments (SOEs)
across physical and virtual infrastructure
* Provide technical support including
installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
* Perform
OS patching
, administration, and status monitoring
* Administer and support
VMware environments
* Develop and maintain
technical standards, procedures, and documentation
* Create and maintain
project and migration documentation
* Ensure changes follow best practices for
risk mitigation, governance, and stability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support migration and transformation initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
* 10+ years
of hands-on experience in
OS / infrastructure migration
* Strong experience in
Linux system administration
(Windows experience also acceptable)
* Solid expertise in
VMware administration
* Experience in developing and deploying
SOEs
in physical and virtual environments
* Strong scripting skills in
PowerShell
* Hands-on experience with
Python scripting
* Proven ability to manage system changes with a
risk-aware and structured approach
