About the Role
Wagner Corporation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our Civil Construction team at Wellcamp Business Park.
This role involves supporting a wide variety of projects throughout all phases: from concept, technical planning and design, scope, budget and works package preparation, on site construction support, contributing to problem-solving challenges, and QA / QC management.

Key Responsibilities
* Support engineering design changes with consideration to budget constraints.
* Assist in preparing subcontractor packages and managing contract obligations.
* Monitor and report on project performance, including schedule, cost, and equipment usage.
* Facilitate communication between consultants, authorities, supervisors, and subcontractors.
* Assist in developing and implementing the Project Management Plan.
* Coordinate design and construction activities to ensure buildability and compliance.
* Conduct project planning, scheduling, and forecasting.
* Ensure adherence to quality assurance and safety standards on site.
* Support development and execution of site safety plans and participate in toolbox/pre-start meetings.
* Conduct on-site inspections, perform QC and QA processes, manage and upload the required files and data.
* Maintain site documentation including registers, budgets, drawings, and specifications.
* Assist in preparing RFIs and tracking responses.
* Collaborate with the operations team to support daily works.
* Liaise with engineers and managers on technical matters.
* Engage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring performance is tracked and reported to management.

Qualifications & experience
* Civil Engineering degree.
* 2+ years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering construction works.
* Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., 12d, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Understanding of Australian engineering standards and regulations.
* A current Driver's Licence.
* A Construction White Card, advantageous.
* Police Check.

Wellcamp Business Park is a self-sustaining commercial centre for a diverse and integrated business park business precinct supporting industries such as aviation, transport, manufacturing, commodity processing and warehousing and distribution.
The business park is home to Wellcamp Airport, Corporate Offices and Civil Construction sites, whilst servicing numerous external company facilities within the precinct.
Our Maintenance and Civil Operations supports the Developments team in delivering a variety of projects through works including trench excavation, bulk earthworks, road construction, installations and landscaping.
