The role is available as a temporary part-time opportunity 3 days per week until 1st September 2026, with a possibility of extension.

The Network Planning and Delivery Team is part of Service Planning and Infrastructure Unit which has responsibility for the service specification of all passenger transport modes across Queensland. * Influence internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative manner to address issues and identify opportunities for public transport networks.
* Provide timely input to correspondence (Cabinet submissions, ministerial correspondence, customer concerns and briefing notes) and provide advice into matters such as development applications and strategic planning to meet government requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification and/or possess demonstrated professional experience in transport planning, urban planning, transport economics, or a similar field, with previous experience in public transport network and service planning being highly regarded.

You will thrive in complex environments, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing expectations by proactively adjusting your approach as needed. Your ability to make insightful decisions will be evident through your critical analysis of detailed information, clear articulation of decision rationales, and collaboration with others to identify and mitigate potential biases.

Strong relationship-building skills are crucial, as you will communicate clearly and deliberately, tailoring your message to suit different stakeholders while fostering positive and mutually beneficial connections. You will also excel in driving accountability and achieving outcomes by contributing to team objectives, recognising your role in results, and demonstrating effective planning and organisation.
