About the Role
Mechanical Engineering at Flinders University is growing and is a key part of the Factory of the Future, a world-class advanced manufacturing facility that is the first of its kind in Australia.
Mechanical Engineering is based in our state-of-the-art Tonsley Innovation District and new City Campus, both with direct access to established collaborative industry partners. The Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering will contribute to promoting the College as a centre of excellence in Engineering education and research, both nationally, and internationally.
In this Teaching & Research (Balanced) position, other responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering teaching in the broad area of engineering but with specific focus on mechanical engineering.
* Publishing high quality publications in mechanical engineering and associated areas and attracting competitive grants.
* Supervising honours and higher degree students.
About You
You will hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a growing record of excellence in teaching and research. You will demonstrate experience in delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching in a tertiary environment, including topic coordination, curriculum design, and use of e-learning platforms. Your research will complement existing strengths within the University, supported by a track record of quality publications and the ability to attract external funding.
