This role focuses on delivering and assessing activities related to the Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program within Southeast Queensland.
It is a permanent, full-time position.The role may require working Monday to Friday and attending RTO events, open days, and career expos on weekends.Mater Education delivers a world-class program to over 1000 students across SEQ.
We seek passionate educators who are enthusiastic about teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals and making learning engaging.Key duties include but are not limited to:Managing VETiS cohorts at various locations including South Brisbane and external health hubsPreparing and delivering training in workplace, online, or classroom settingsProviding flexible training and assessment strategies tailored to individual student needsMonitoring student progress and providing supportAssessing student competence and providing constructive feedbackSupporting students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or literacy issuesEnsuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015 and related regulationsMaintaining Mater Education's equipment, facilities, and resources responsiblyManaging student administration within the SMS and LMS systemsParticipating in team meetings, open days, expos, and info sessionsEnsuring a safe learning environment meeting WHS standardsMaintaining professional development and industry competenciesParticipating in assessment validation and moderationAbout youApplicants should have:Minimum 3 years' experience in the health industryUnderstanding of the VET sector and RTO environment experienceKnowledge of relevant professional and accreditation requirementsConflict resolution skills in student managementEnthusiasm and industry knowledgeAdherence to policies, procedures, and industry standardsAbility to collaborate effectively with peers and team membersQualifications and experienceEssential qualifications:TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)Valid Working with Children Card (Blue Card)Current Driver's LicenseAdditional relevant qualifications may include:Certificate II in Health Support ServicesCertificate III in Health Services AssistanceCertificate III in Health AdministrationDiploma of NursingBachelor of Nursing or MidwiferyMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care across multiple hospitals.
