The Role
As a Support Worker, you'll be central to our clients' daily lives, helping them build independence and providing personalised care and support.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering physical and emotional person-centred support
* Promoting independence by encouraging skill development and decision-making
* Assisting with daily personal care routines
* Administering prescribed medications safely
* Supporting domestic duties, including meal preparation, household tasks, and gardening
* Facilitating community access for appointments, shopping, social activities, and more
* Providing companionship and assistance during recreational and work activities
* Contributing to the development and review of individual support programs

* An understanding of challenges faced by individuals with diverse needs
* Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships
* Comfort using technology, including iPhone apps for rostering, shift reports, and training
* Excellent time management, organisation, and reliability
* Mental resilience and adaptability
* Commitment to professional growth
* The flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
* Experience with physical support, challenging behaviours, or PEG feeding (desirable)
Must-haves:
* A Cert III in a relevant field, equivalent experience, or currently studying
* A minimum of 12 months of industry experience, desirable
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check, desirable
* First Aid and CPR certifications
* Current NDIS worker orientation module certificate
* A valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle
