About the role
We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own the strategy and day-to-day execution of our paid media channels across Australia and key global markets. Sitting at the heart of customer acquisition, this role is responsible for driving revenue growth, scaling performance channels, and ensuring our media investment delivers strong ROI, without losing sight of July's distinct brand voice.
Reporting to the Performance Director, you'll bring a data-first mindset, strong commercial instincts, and a passion for testing, optimisation, and continuous improvement
What you'll be doing
Paid Media & Growth
Own the strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, affiliates, and emerging platforms.
Manage large-scale advertising budgets across Australia, the United States, and Europe.
Build and maintain best-practice campaign structures, tracking, naming conventions, and reporting.
Manage product feeds and catalogue integrations across paid platforms.
Testing, Insights & Optimisation
Design and run structured testing programs across paid social and search, including Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok.
Lead A/B testing across creative, audiences, formats, and offers — prioritising experiments that meaningfully shift performance.
Analyse campaign performance to surface insights, risks, and actionable recommendations for the wider business.
Maintain a strong understanding of attribution models, conversion paths, and customer behaviour.
Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Brief internal creative teams with clear, performance-led direction on messaging, formats, and platform-specific requirements.
Guide low-fi content creation (UGC and influencer-style assets) to support paid performance and engagement.
Collaborate closely with founders, marketing, tech, and commercial teams to align growth initiatives with broader business goals.
Innovation & Future Focus
Identify opportunities to scale existing channels or test emerging platforms.
Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and digital trends.
Explore and integrate AI tools to improve campaign planning, creative testing, forecasting, and workflow efficiency.
What you'll bring
5+ years' experience in performance or digital marketing roles, preferably within DTC or eCommerce environments.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in performance or growth marketing, ideally within high-growth DTC or eCommerce brands.
Deep, hands-on experience with paid platforms including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and analytics tools (GA, Looker/Data Studio).
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
Commercially minded, balancing brand, growth, and profitability.
Confident briefing creatives and understanding visual storytelling in ads.
Curious, proactive, and excited by experimentation, AI tools, and process improvement.
Bonus points for experience with Shopify Plus or content management systems.
