We are partnered with a well-known mining company to recruit an experienced Maintenance Supervisor - Shovel & Drills.
This is an initial 6 month casual contract with the strong potential to transition into a full-time role directly with the company.
About the Role
Reporting to the HME Superintendent, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of the mobile equipment fleet.
This includes supervising personnel and contractors, overseeing preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns, coordinating repairs, and driving compliance across safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive safety performance through proactive monitoring, incident prevention, and safety leadership.
- Oversee planned maintenance, breakdown management, and repair activities for HME equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts tracking, backlog management, and work documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and heritage requirements.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to HME employees and contractors.
- Manage shift rosters, leave, and workforce planning to meet operational requirements.
- Liaise with operations and departmental supervisors to ensure alignment and support.
- Conduct safety investigations, incident reporting, and participate in toolbox/pre-start meetings.
Mandatory Requirements
- Heavy Duty Trade Certificate
- Senior First Aid certificate
- WA Class HM driver's licence (or equivalent)
- Section 44 / S26 appointment
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Strong communication and computing skills
- Ability to pass fit testing (must be clean-shaven)
Desirable Qualifications
- Forklift Operator certificate
- Overhead Crane ticket
- Business Management qualifications
