Job Summary
You will be part of Enterprise Data & Analytics team responsible for identifying analytical needs, exploring new technologies, and applying data sciences/machine learning concepts to maximize value from data assets. Senior Data Engineer will work closely with key stakeholders both IT and Business to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. The individual must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment, an interest in going beyond the obvious, aptitude for new tools/technologies, and obsession for customer success
Job Requirements
Must possess strong subject matter expertise in at least two domains of Sales, Marketing, Install Base, Finance, and Customer Support areas.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
Hands-on experience in SQL, RESTful APIs, and other related standards. Python, NoSQL is nice to have
Hands-on emphasis with a proven track record of building and evaluating data pipes, and delivering systems for final production
Must have strong data orientation and keen aptitude to explore innovative ways to analyze data
Knowledge of various development methodologies, including waterfall and agile/scrum.
Experience with various data systems like Oracle Data Warehouse, Snowflake, HVR, Informatica IICS
Experience with various visualization tools like Tableau, PBI
Experience in all phases of a Software Development Life Cycle. Well versed in different project life cycle management methodologies – Waterfall and Agile.
Experience working with IT delivery teams on complex projects.
Ability to work collaboratively and take a lead role, as needed, within a team of other business systems analysts and cross functional peers to support deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Education
A minimum of 8 years of experience is required, including 6+ years solid relevant experience in Business Analytics.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business, or related field is required
