We are currently seeking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in our Moorebank office.
THE ROLE:
The Financial Accountant oversees the transactional processes of finance to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting of the business.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
* Prepare, Post and Review month end journals and batches for Fujifilm DMS.
* Month-end closing procedures, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and adherence to strict timelines.
* Assisting internal and external audits, completion of audit requests, and follow-up on the audit issues.
* Assisting with our statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
* Processing, reconciling intercompany transactions
Where applicable
* Demonstrate in-depth analytical skills to prepare and review P&L's on a monthly basis and discussion with Finance Management.
* Prepare and present monthly report on key balance sheet issues to management.
* Drive corporate policy and procedures for financial accounting matters.
* Process improvement projects.
* Be flexible and willing to perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Key Skills
* Good understanding of financial accounting principles and internal controls
* Knowledge of lease accounting, fixed asset and intangible asset accounting will be an advantage
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
* Experience in major accounting software packages (Oracle would be an advantage)
* Strong knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards to the business
* Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated, organized and able to work professionally and effectively in high pressure situations
Qualifications and Experience
* Accounting/Finance Degree
* Minimum of 3 years Financial Accounting Experience/Minimum 3 years Past Financial Audit Experience
* Company Tax knowledge an advantage
