Job Opportunity: APS6 Payroll Manager
The payroll department is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and administer pay and entitlements.
2. Undertake complex processing tasks.
3. Check work within the team for quality output.
4. Handle escalations, prepare correspondence, and provide advice.
5. E nsure payroll compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
6. Communicate changes and implement effective processes.
7. Manage performance, co-ordinate training, and participate in system projects.
8. Represent the department at meetings and forums.
Requirements:
* Aurion experience preferred but not essential.
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
* Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship).
* Excellent communication, administrative, and organisational skills.
* Understanding of regulatory and legislation requirements.
Benefits:
Six-month contract working within the Federal Government with the possibility of extension.
