Support Practitioner – Bundamba

Salary: Award covered, $44‐47 hr casual plus allowances. Not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,549 tax‐free. 1 permanent and 1 fixed term until October 2026.
What You'll Do
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children, young people, and families to identify strengths, needs, and risks.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
* Provide timely crisis intervention to ensure safety and stability.
* Advocate for clients to access necessary resources and services.
* Facilitate evidence‐based parenting programs and workshops.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate care.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with organisational standards.
* Ensure services are culturally safe and inclusive, respecting diverse backgrounds.
What You'll Need
* Qualification: Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in child protection, family support, or community services.
* Knowledge: Understanding of child protection legislation and out‐of‐home care frameworks.
* Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Cultural competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Essential
* Possess a National Police Check.
* Working with Children (Blue Card).
* Licensed Care Service (Child Protection) or ability to acquire.
